Right now there is an initial wave of Moments of Triumph 2019 to complete in Destiny 2, but all we have to go on are vague names. In this guide we’re going to cover each Moment of Triumph, how to complete it, and offer a little insight into what we’d do in order to finish each of them. Let’s get started with the list.

Legendary Valor

How to complete: Achieve a Valor rank of Legend in any season.

Tips: You may have already completed this Triumph. All you need to have done is reach Legend, which you’ll probably have done through Iron Banner, or chasing the Crucible Pinnacle weapon. Have a look, see if you’ve already done this one, and if you haven’t then just jump into quickplay and grind those ranks.

Crucible Pinnacle Arms

How to complete: Earn a Crucible Pinnacle weapon for any season.

Tips: Once again, you may have already finished this Triumph. Check the list to see if you have, but if you haven’t you can always complete the Pinnacle weapon for Season of Opulence. Pick up the quest from Lord Shaxx.

Vanguard Pinnacle Arms

How to complete: Earn a Vanguard Pinnacle weapon for any season.

Tips: You know what I’m going to say. Check if you’ve already done this, and if not go and see Zavala for this season’s Vanguard Pinnacle weapon quest.

Gambit Pinnacle Arms

How to complete: Earn a Gambit Pinnacle weapon for any season.

Tips: Yep! Check if you’ve done it, and if not go and see the Drifter to start and complete it.

Nothing Left to Say

How to complete: Complete the mission ‘Nothing Left to Say’.

Tips: This is the final mission for the Forsaken campaign, so if you’ve not finished that just go and do it already! If you don’t own Forsaken then don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to buy it and get this done. If you’re up for it, go and buy it now and get on it. As you progress you’ll probably finish some of these other Triumphs as well.

The Vault

How to complete: Amass gear in your collections.

Tips: This is a big grind. You need to have a total of 1000 weapons in your collections, so if you’re not there get on with everything else, you’ll earn new weapons as you go. An easy way to earn some unique ones is to complete all of the Pinnacle Weapon Quests for this season, and purchase every weapon you don’t own from Xur when he arrives.

Mythic

How to complete: Reach the Mythic division in Gambit.

Tips: Mythic has three levels, and they’re just under the very top level of Infamy, Gambit’s reputation. To reach this you need to play a lot of both Gambit and Gambit Prime, maybe even Reckoning if you’re feeling tough. The best way to earn extra Infamy is to complete as many Drifter Boutnies as you can. He’s got a few that don’t even have anything to do with Gambit, so if you’re worried about spending too much time in one game mode, don’t!

O Murderer Mine

How to complete: Complete the Last Wish Raid.

Tips: This one is pretty straightforward. You need to complete the raid, so team up with some mates and do it. You may have already! If you haven’t, and you’re like me and do’t run with a clan, then don’t despair. Use Guided Games, the feature for raids that allows you to team up with others in a semi-matchmaking system for harder activities, and you’ll finish this raid in no time. Alternatively, check the Destiny Fireteam Subreddit for requests for help, or post your own.

Valiant Saviour

How to complete: Complete the Scourge of the Past Raid.

Tips: You may have already done this, but if you haven’t then just follow the tips we’ve outlined above.

In the Shadow of the Kingdom of Sorrow

How to complete: Complete the Crown of Sorrow Raid.

Tips: Once again, you may have already done this, but if not see our earlier tips for completing raids.

Going the Distance

How to complete: Complete The Menagerie’s Gauntlet with all six players in the Fireteam making it across the finish.

Tips: The Gauntlet is a part of the Menagerie that literally has Guardians running a gauntlet. It’s not too difficult to complete, but having all six Guardians in the Fireteam finish it is something else. To do this I recommend everyone talks to each other, and has a few goes on their own before the final attempt to ensure they know how to complete the entire run.

Prime Fashion

How to complete: Win a match of Gambit Prime while wearing all five pieces of a single Notorious armour set.

Tips: This is quite a grindy Triumph. In order to earn the Notorious armour pieces you need to be using your Synthesiser in Reckoning matches, and completing those matches in the first place is pretty difficult. You’re going to be running through all three tiers of this activity in order to earn these armour pieces, and honestly if you haven’t done it by now you may not get it done before Moments of Triumph is over. Here’s our Reckoning Guide in case you fancy giving it a go.

Bedazzled

How to complete: Fully upgrade your Chalice of Opulence.

Tips: Completing the Chalice of Opulence requires you to purchase all of the nodes on it. You can view these by heading to your Pursuits tab and checking the Chalice manually there. You can earn Imperials from many activities, but there are also Bounties that award them. This is a bit of a grind, but as you unlock other Triumphs you’ll earn Imperials through those activities as well, so you should be able to complete it before the end of the Moments of Triumph event.

Forges Afield

How to complete: Use Research Frames and Black Armory Frames to forge 10 weapons.

Tips: Black Armory content is hard, I won’t lie. finding the forges s one thing, and then playing the activities to earn weapons is another. Follow the quests Ada-1 gives you and you’ll get part of the way there. We’ve got guides for unlocking the Izanami Forge and Gofannon Forge, but it’s down to you to get the frames and forge those weapons.

Challenger

How to complete: Complete weekly challenges throughout the system.

Tips: Weekly challenges are the challenges you see in the Director when looking at activities. These are pretty simple to complete, and require you to just play the game by completing matches in Gambit, the Crucible, daily Heroic Missions, or Strikes. Just look for the weekly challenges in the Director and follow them for a while until you complete this Triumph. You need to do 10 in total, so it won’t take too long.

Gun for Hire

How to complete: complete Bounties throughout the system.

Tips: this Triumph requires you to complete 50 Bounties in total. That’s not going to be too much of a stretch considering you need to max out your Infamy and Valor rank. Grab Bounties every time you jump into the game, complete them, and make sure you’re making the most of your time in activities by gaining progress against Bounties and other Triumphs.

For the Vanguard

How to complete: Complete 25 Strikes from any playlist.

Tips: Strikes are Strikes. You could include Nightfall Strikes in this, but really you could just jump into a Strike playlist and wait until you’ve completed 25, it’s up to you.

Never Again

How to complete: Complete the Shattered Throne Dungeon.

Tips: This one is a bit trickier. The Shattered Throne dungeon is part of the Dreaming City, and it evolves over time depending on the level of darkness in the city. Your best bet is to wait until the darkness is at its lowest, then jump in and complete the easiest run of the dungeon, so at least you get the completion.

Exotic Arsenal

How to complete: Earn Outbreak Perfected, Whisper of the Worm, and Bad Juju.

Tips: We’ve got guides for both Outbreak Perfected and Bad Juju. Whisper of the Worm is a quest that now spawns all the time in Destiny 2, and is possibly the middle hardest to earn. Outbreak Perfected requires a fireteam, but you can get Bad Juju by yourself. If you’re not an Exotic hunter then give this one a miss, but you should try all the same if you want to get all the Triumphs.

Available after the 30th of July

These Triumphs won’t be available to complete until after the 30th of July. We’re posting what we know about them here ahead of time so you can get an idea of what might be required. Check back after the 30th of July to see if we’ve posted an update here. If not, we’ll put a link here to the new article that details how to accomplish these Triumphs.

Fashion Hero

How to complete: Upgrade the full Solstice of Heroes Armour set to Legendary.

Tips: Solstice of Heroes gave us armour that we upgraded through new, challenging variants of old missions last year. If this year is anything similar, we’ll have some interesting versions of missions to play through while wearing this armour in order to upgrade it.

Above and Beyond

How to complete: Masterwork any piece of Majestic solstice armour.

Tips: Majestic Solstice armour sounds like a variant of the Solstice of Heroes Armour. We’re not sure how you get it, but we’ll post an update as soon as we do.

Inheritance

How to complete: Unknown.

Tips: Can’t help you with this one until we hit the date. Check back then.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
