Destiny 2 Season Of The Hunt Roadmap In-Depth Analysis
Diving into the roadmap for Destiny 2 Season of the Hunt to see what’s there.
It’s finally here! thanks to the ViDoc and subsequent content reveal on Bungie’s website, we know all about the upcoming season for Beyond Light, Season of the Hunt. We’ve even got a roadmap. But exactly what is on this roadmap, and what kinds of events should we expect? Here I’m going to cover everything we can see in the roadmap, and analyse all of the content that might be on offer from Bungie as of November 10. Check out the roadmap below and read on for more details.
On the left of the roadmap, we can see the breakdown of what’s free for all Guardians, and what will only be included for those who now own Beyond Light. I can only recommend purchasing the expansion. Every expansion in the history of Destiny has been exceptional. I don’t see Beyond Light being anything less.
November 10, 2020
From November 10 we’ll obviously get our hands on Beyond Light. This is the latest expansion to the game, and we should be getting all of the new content that comes with it. As long as you’ve purchased the expansion. There will be a maintenance period on the day to allow Bungie to officially launch Beyond Light, so bear that in mind if you’re planning your day around the game.
On this day we’ll get the Seasonal Artifact, and theEmpire Hunt will begin. I think that the Empire Hunt is just Bungie’s name for the new campaign, but we’ll see.
There will also be a brand new Strike opening on this day, The Glassway. I think this is going to focus solely on the new Fallen House enemies. Be prepared for anything, this one could be hard.
Finally, as you’d expect, Europa launches on this day. We’ll finally set foot on this brand new moon in the Destiny universe. I can’t wait to see what secrets it’s hiding beneath the surface.
November 13, 2020
From this day you’ll be able to pick up Adept Weapons in Trials of Osiris. These will almost certainly be the most powerful weapons in the game. If you’re all about Power Level grinding, getting one of these will help you out a lot. I imagine they’ll also be brilliant in PVP as well.
November 17, 2020
This date will see the start of the Seasonal Mission. This will last for the rest of Season of the Hunt. As always, we have no idea what this will entail, and probably won’t until we get to it. Luckily it launches just before the second release date for the PlayStation 5, so you don’t need to worry about missing out on it if you’re converting to the next-generation.
This is also the day that Wraithborn Hunts start. These are a super interesting Public Event that is going to see us hunt down some particularly nasty Hive. I’m quite excited to get into these. I think they’ll have some truly complex systems around them to make for some very interesting gameplay.
November 21, 2020
This day sees the dawn of a new raid, Deep Stone Crypt. So many Guardians are excited for this one, including me. There’s a lot of lore to be uncovered, and some fantastic new gear to be earned alongside it. This is also the day we’ll see the Race to World First. I’m very excited to see who wins it this year.
December 8, 2020
This is a great day for me. It’s the day the first Iron Banner of Season of the Hunt begins. This is what a lot of Guardians are excited to see, mainly because it’s a PVP event that lets us go nuts with new Subclass powers for an entire week.
December 15 To January 1, 2020
This is the last entry on the roadmap that we have so far. It’s when The Dawning will begin. This is always one of the most exciting times to be a Guardian. There’s a reason to jump into the game every day, and loads of content to soak up. It’s the definition of Christmas in the Destiny universe. Everyone is having a good time, and most people are just happy to see so many other Guardians getting into the new expansion.
That’s all there is to know about Season of the Hunt from the roadmap for now. We’ll be sure to post a new update as soon as we see anything new about it.
