Xur’s Inventory Destiny 2 – January 4th To January 8th
Xur is here for the very first time in 2019! This is brilliant because it means all the Guardians who have joined us over Christmas and the new year can now experience their very first encounter with a creature who has a face made of tentacles.
Where is Xur this week? Well he’s over on Earth in the EDZ, hanging out near Winding Cove. Let’s dive in and see what he’s brought with him this week.
Exotic Pulse Rifle: Graviton Lance – 29 Legendary Shards
A base game Exotic Pulse Rifle and proud of it, we haven’t done an analysis of this weapon yet, but we will be doing so this weekend so keep an eye out.
The stats on Graviton Lance are; Impact 29, Range 55, Stability 100, Magazine Size 31, Reload Speed 61, and Handling 59. The hidden stats are; Zoom 17, Inventory Size 60, Aim Assistance 60, and Recoil Direction 65.
The Exotic perk on Graviton Lance, Black Hole, makes the second shot of a burst rip through space and time, doing more damage with no falloff or recoil. The only other perk you’re likely to see on Graviton Lance, with random rolls and all, is Cosmology, which makes enemies killed with Graviton Lance detonate, spawning Void projectiles which will track enemies.
Exotic Hunter Helmet: Celestial Nighthawk – 23 Legendary Shards
Straight from the base game, this Helmet boosts Mobility or Resilience. The Exotic perk, Hawkeye Hack, changes your Golden Gun to shoot one super powerful shot. Any enemies you kill with that shot explode and produce Super energy for you.
Exotic Titan Leg Armour: Dunemarchers – 23 Legendary Shards
These look like they’re straight out of the 80s, boosting either Mobility or Resilience. The Exotic perk, Linear Actuators, increases your sprint speed. Any sprinting you do builds up a static charge, and when you melee attack enemies that charge will chain lightning between them.
Exotic Warlock Chest Amour: Sanguine Alchemy – 23 Legendary Shards
This armour is from the Warmind expansion, boosting either Resilience, or Recovery greatly. The Exotic perk, Heightened Senses, grants your allies and you heightened senses while standing in a Rift, which allows you to view radar while aiming down sights. Any nearby powerful enemies can be marked and tracked out of sight.
Honestly this week, as with all weeks, it’s the case of buying what your collection requires you to. Make sure you’re taking every opportunity to buy these Exotics if you can, and if you need them, because it’ll make your journey to 100% so much easier. The Hunter Helmet is particularly powerful, so if you’re running with one as a main I can highly recommend it.
Let us know what you pick up in the comments.
