New Exotics Revealed In Gamescom 2019 Footage

There’s been a lot of footage of Destiny 2 at Gamescom 2019, and within that there have been a number of Exotics sneaking into our eyes without expressly being mentioned. We’re going to cover all of the new ones we’ve seen here so you can gawk at them and get excited for Shadowkeep all over again.

Assassin’s Cowl

This Hunter’s Helmet provides invisibility and health regeneration upon making a finisher

Loud Lullaby

This is a Hand Cannon with a perk called Fourth Time’s the Charm. Precision rapid hits will throw two bullets back into the magazine.

Heavy Exotic Bow

No one has the name of this weapon yet but any new Exotic Bow in my opinion is a fantastic addition to the game.

New Trace Rifle

We know that this Trace Rifle generates crit-points for your Guardian allies to use, but we don’t know much more than that. What we did see was the weapon in action, and it looks like a blue version of Prometheus Lens, thought that doesn’t necessarily mean that it uses Arc.

Shrieker-like Rocket Launcher

No details once again, but we did see this Rocket Launcher in action. It appeared to fire out Shrieker projectiles, and I can only imagine that using it feels great when you’re destroying thousands of Hive.

Phoenix Cradle

These Titan boots were part of a press reveal. The Exotic perk doubles the duration of Sunspots, and provides their benefits to allies as well.

Scoped Hand Cannon

This is another press kit bonus, a Hand Cannon that uses Special ammo and has a scope! I’m a huge fan of Hand Cannons in general, and always love to see more coming to the game. But one that has a scope! That’s something that I’ve been longing for in Destiny 1 and 2 since the game’s first came out.

Those are all of the new Exotics that we’ve seen from Gamescome 2019 for Destiny 2. I’m sure more will come in the following weeks as we ramp up to the release of Shadowkeep, but for now Bungie is probably going to keep the rest a secret. I have no doubt that there will be more Exotics quests for us to complete than we can cope with once Shadowkeep launches, and we’ll have the entire Moon to explore in order to unlock them as well.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
