Bungie Pre-Warns Us Of Festival Of The Lost 2019 Issues

Festival of the Lost is returning to Destiny 2 for 2019, but there are a couple of things we all need to bear in mind whilst we’re collecting the two types of candy that are on offer.
The two candies we’ll be earning from tomorrow forwards are Candy and Chocolate Strange Coins. Candy will be used to purchase Mystery Grab Bags from Eva Levante, which will contain cosmetic items for Festival of the Lost, and can even be used to purchase an incredibly powerful Auto Rifle, the BrayTech Werewolf. Chocolate Strange Coins on the other hand, will be used to purchase mask ornaments, which allow you to wear masks with different benefits and effects.
Wear the Helmet
The Helmet that kicks things off for Festival of the Lost this year is called the Masquerader’s Helmet. You need to be wearing this in order to earn both Candy and Chocolate Strange Coins, because you won’t without it. Bungie has been very clear about this, and really hammered it home that without wearing the helmet, it’s pointless completing activities if you’re trying to earn either Candy or Chocolate Strange Coins.
Watch Your Dismantling
The second point that Bungie made about Festival of the Lost this year, arguably the more important one, is that you need to be careful when dismantling stuff around Candy or Chocolate Strange Coins. There’s no way to delete just one, not that you’d want to, but if you accidentally did hover over them and hold the Dismantle button, you’d delete them all.
Get Ready to be Spooked
To be honest, the thought of accidentally deleting all of my Festival of the Lost currency is scary enough to make this the best Halloween event Destiny 2 has ever had. But there’s more. In addition to Festival of the Lost starting up tomorrow, we’ll also be able to access yet another new Exotic quest. This one is for the much rumoured Machine Gun, Xenophage.
This weapon sounds like it’s going to be a scourge to our enemies, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s somehow linked in with Festival of the Lost to begin with. We’ll get a quest guide up for Xenophage as soon as we possibly can after tomorrow’s reset.
Let us know what you’re looking forward to most about Halloween in Destiny 2 this year in the comments.
