Ice T Is Light 650 And Uses Telesto

This week over on Reddit one of the more bizarre things to happen in a video game community occurred. A celebrity debuted their loadout and shamed a lot of players.

Reddit user Blackwoodblowin posted that Ice T uses Telesto, a very useful Exotic Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2. How did they happen upon this information? Well it seems as though he promised to reveal his Guardian on social media.

After the recent nerf to it Telesto is far less powerful in PVP than it used to be. I personally haven’t been killed by it once since, and that’s a big positive in my book. This might indicate that Ice T was Power Level 650 before the nerf, and is now just running with it because he enjoys the weapon for what it is.

However, it could also be that Ice T has some mates who are really good at Destiny 2 and have carried him all the way through multiple raids to earn his Power Level. But based on his other gaming-related Tweets, I’m going to bet that he’s actually one hell of a Guardian, and certainly better than I’ll ever be.

A Twitter screenshot is what is referenced in the Reddit post, and as you’ll see below it’s a legitimate screenshot of Ice T’s Tweet in which he posts an image of his Guardian, stats, gear, and all.

I have to say that it shows extreme dedication to fans that Ice T is posting this image, which also has his username. He’s going to be bombarded with friend requests, and I have no doubt millions will now try to join up in his Fireteam online.

The rapper actually Tweeted the image of his Guardian because he was talking about beating Destiny 2 so far, and waiting for The Division 2. No doubt The division 2 will be just as much of a time hole to dump in as Destiny 2, but it takes some real work to earn 650 Power Level on a Guardian.

So what does this show? This shows that even celebrities like Ice T enjoy the grind that Destiny 2 presents. The game has received a lot of flack in the past for the way it makes Guardians earn rewards, but it’s clear that the scope of interest is wide enough that even people like Ice T, who I imagine doesn’t have loads of time to play games, chooses to spend his time playing Destiny 2.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
