Destiny 2 Felwinter’s Lie Legendary Quest Guide
Felwinter’s Lie is finally now possible to earn, with the quest having been bugged for a little while now. Here’s exactly how you complete that quest, and unlock the Exotic weapon.
The Exotic quest for Felwinter’s Lie was bugged for about a week after launch, but now it is fully fixed up and possible to complete. In this guide we’ll walk you through everything that you need to do in order to get it, but we’ll try not to spoil too much lore for you along the way.
Step 1 – Warmind Evaluation
This part of the quest is the community contribution section that was completed in the same week that the quest went live. Head to Mars and chat to Ana Bray to start the quest. You’ll have a message from Rasputin, but the requirement to complete Seraph Towers is now done, so you should skip right to the next step.
Step 2 – One Of Many
This step is basically chatting to Ana Bray again, so just stick around and have a good old natter.
Step 3 – Vostock
For this step, Ana Bray sends you to investigate Vostock. It will give you a new mission on the EDZ map called ‘A Warmind’s Secret’, so select it and get in there.
The mission takes place in the Vostock Crucible map. Here it’s actually possible to climb Felwinter’s Peak, so don’t forget to do that.
The mission sees you move around the map and scan items, since this is an investigation. Follow the objectives, and soon you’ll be booted to orbit.
Step 4 – Shotgun Telemetry
This step is the first real grind, get 1,000 Shotgun kills in Crucible or PVE. The fastest way to do this is definitely in Strikes, Raids, or other PVE activities, so get out there and make your kills count. Have as many Shotguns equipped as you can possibly hold, and go nuts until you’ve completed the quest.
Step 5 – Lunar Trip
Rasputin will now invite you to the Moon’s Seraph Bunker for a little chat. This is the quest step that bugged out initially, and it reveals some deep lore. We won’t spoil it for you, but know that it was well worth the wait.
Step 6 – Warmind Heuristics
This is the quest that shows you the true identity of Felwinter. Again, we won’t spoil the lore and story payoffs, but they’re also well worth the wait.
In the end, you get Felwinter’s Lie, and it’s a Legendary Shotgun that’s better than most Exotics to be honest. We’ll have a more in-depth look at the weapon up soon. If you’re on the fence about putting in the effort to get this one, just go ahead and do it. Better to have it than need it.
