Xur is back in our lives again, and he’s hangning out in the Tower for once. This week he’s got some new items that I’ve not seen in his inventory for a while, ones which are definitely worth at least looking at. Let’s dive in and check out what he’s got in stock for you.
Exotic Scout Rifle: Skyburner’s Oath – 29 Legendary Shards
We’ve already done our own look at whether Skyburner’s Oath is the best Exotic Scout Rifle in the game or not. You should definitely check it out if you’re even remotely interested in the weapon this week.
The stats on Skyburner’s Oath are; Impact 60, Range 55-82, Stability 55, Magazine Size 18, Reload Speed 37, and Handling 68. The hidden stats on the weapon are; Zoom 20, Inventory Size 60, Aim Assistance 90, and Recoil direction 110.
The perks on Skyburner’s Oath are a little subject to change, but a couple are certain. The Exotic perk, Slug Rifle, makes Skyburner’s Oath fire large explosive slugs that seek out enemies when firing from the hip. Aiming down the sights make the slugs fire fast and straight, and with a higher damage and lower Rate of Fire. The only other perk you’re likely to see is For the Empire, which makes the weapon full-auto, deal extra damage to Cabal, and penetrate Phalanx shields.
Exotic Hunter Chest Armour: The Dragon’s Shadow – 23 Legendary Shards
This Hunter Chest Armour is absolutely brilliant, one that I run with as often as I can. On top of being totally appropriate for Chinese New Year, the Armour boosts Mobility, or resilience greatly. The Exotic perk, Wraithmetal Mail, reloads all weapons with a dodge, and increases movement and weapon handling for a limited time with a dodge as well.
Exotic Titan Gauntlets: Wormgod Caress – 23 Legendary Shards
This Exotic Armour was introduced with Warmind, and hasn’t been seen on Xur for a while. It greatly boosts either Resilience or Recovery. The Exotic perk, Burning fists, increases melee damage for a period of time after a melee kill. Any additional kills will increases the duration of the effect.
Exotic Warlock Gauntlets: Sunbracers – 23 Legendary Shards
These Gauntlets make you look like the sun is tied to your arms, and there isn’t much that looks better. They increase Mobility greatly or Recovery, and the Exotic perk, Helium Spirals, increases the duration of Solar Grenades. Solar melee kills will grant unlimited Solar energy for a brief period of time.
This week you need to think about your collection as always. Check the Destiny 2 companion app and track the Exotics you have, always pick up something if you don’t have it because you never know when you’ll need it. Otherwise, get the Exotic that’s going to help your main class, whatever your preference is.
