It’s that time of the week again! Xur has returned with a bunch of Exotic armours and a weapon to hopefully improve all our lives. Let’s take a look at what he’s got.
Exotic Fusion Rifle: Telesto – 29 Legendary Shards
A personal favourite of mine from Destiny 1. The stats on Telesto are 780 Charge Time, Impact of 85, Range of 32, Stability 81, Magazine of 4, Reload Speed 82, and Handling 57. The hidden stats are 15 Zoom, Inventory Size 55, Aim Assistance 46, and Recoil Direction 66.
While you might think the zoom matters, it really doesn’t, which makes this a brilliant weapon. The Exotic Perk, Unplanned Reprieve, means that the Fusion projectiles actually stick to an enemy and explode after a short while, like the Needler from Halo. The rest of the Perks are; Projection Fuse, which increases Range, Harbinger’s Pulse, which immediately reloads your equipped Kinetic and Energy weapons on multi-kills, and Polymer Grip, which increases handling.
This is a weapon you take into the Crucible and blast at close range, do not hesitate. It’s not the best from afar but then a lot of Fusion Rifles now aren’t in Destiny 2. All I can say is that it will 100% help you out in all situations, don’t worry about buying it and just buy it.
Exotic Hunter Gauntlets: Young Ahamkara’s Spine – 23 Legendary Shards
Apart form being brilliant because these are made from the spine of a giant space dragon, they also increase Resilience and Recovery. The Exotic Perk, Wish-Dragon Teeth, increases the duration of Trip-Mine Grenades, and marks enemies damaged by them who don’t perish.
Exotic Titan Helmet: Mask of the Quiet One – 23 Legendary Shards
Honestly I think this looks a little stupid now but whatever, I don’t main a Titan so I don’t mind. It also increases Recovery and greatly increases Resilience. The Exotic Perk, Dreaded Visage, grants class ability, melee, and grenade energy when you’re damaged. Any Void ability kills grant you some health regeneration too.
Exotic Warlock Chest Armour: Wings of Sacred Dawn – 23 Legendary Shards
This Chest Armour is genuinely amazing! It increases Recovery and greatly increases Mobility. The Exotic Perk, Tome of Dawn, will suspend you in midair for a short time, when you have Dawnblade equipped. Any precision hits will extend your suspension in the air.
This week is tough because all of the armour on offer has decent points. If I’m honest I’d go for what I main and then collect the rest if possible, but don’t do that if you’ve only got enough for one item and you’re just starting out. Telesto is an absolute beast in the Crucible so please do buy it if you don’t have it because you’ll be so pleased with the result.
