You might be wondering just what the food in this cookbook could be. After all, this is a serious sci-fi MMO shooter game from one of the world’s leading developers. Why would these guys have a backlog of recipes for you to cook up?
Well there have been a number of different foods that have been mentioned, discussed, or even created by Guardians at certain points throughout the Destiny franchise.
I shouldn’t need to point this out, but Cayde-6 was a big fan of Spicy Ramen. That’s bound to be at least one recipe in this book, if not a few with various sauces and different takes on the dish.
In Season of the Worthy we haven’t seen any new additions to the food world of Destiny, but there have been plenty more that you might just have thought were random items.
With The Dawning event, which happens every year around Christmas, Eva Levante turns up to give us an oven and a lot of things to bake. This forms a big old grind that we all take part in, working through the recipes and delivering the resulting foods to vendors around the system.
One of those baked goods is a Gjallardoodle. Not only is this a great reference to the Gjallarhorn, It’s an incredibly tasty treat that Zavala is extremely fond of.
The above is just one of the recipes that you can find in Destiny: The Official Cookbook. We’re really excited to see this one release, since it’ll give us something else to do other than grind for great weapons in Trials of Osiris.
