Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Collector’s Edition Reveals Secrets On The Moon

A Guardian who has received their Collector’s Edition of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep has revealed to the world that there’s a map inside, showing secrets we can all find on the Moon.

The Collector’s Edition of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is now sold out on Bungie’s store, so unless some rejected orders come back I don’t think anyone will get their hands on one from now on. Regardless, the Collector’s Edition has been dispatched to Guardians around the world, and some are already getting them in the post. Within the items you get as part of this glorious edition is a map. Check the image of the map out below and read on for more details.

As you can see this map is lightly edited with notes here and there. It seems like these notes could be from Eris Morn, particularly because of this one in the bottom right corner that states, “they didn’t know”. Any Destiny 1 Guardians will remember this habitation dome well, and now it sounds like the entire thing has been swallowed up as the Hive disrupt the surface of the Moon.

Ultimately what I think these notes are supposed to convey are exactly where the Moon has changed. We already know from Bungie that the Moon is a very different place to what it was when we owned it in Destiny 1, but I think things have even gone as far as evolving with this big new expansion.

How do we know Where This Map is?

Of course, this map is fairly useless unless we can line it up with the actual map of the Moon in Shadowkeep. Thanks to the work of the same Guardian who shared the above image, Reddit user OhNnoMore, we can see exactly where this map fits in the game. Destiny 1 Guardians will be able to picture exactly where the image fits with the map of the Moon, and picture it in their heads. But for those of you who don’t have that knowledge, it’s pretty much the opening area of the Moon that you dropped into when spawning on the Moon. This area was the hub of a lot of enemy activity, and hosted a particle accelerator that was long dead, in addition to a busted up Fallen Ketch.

We know that the Fallen here have been building a small settlement around their destroyed Ketch, so we’re going to have a lot of enemies to compete with in just them. However, there is also the matter of the Hellmouth, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from this secrets map. I honestly can’t see anything good coming out of the proximity between this usually peaceful area, and the Hellmouth, it’s all going to go very badly I’m sure.
