Xur has come back into our lives and it’s actually a little bit nice to see his little tentacle face about the place again. He’s over on Io this week and is packing the usual weapon and armours, let’s dive in and check out what he’s got.
Exotic Scout Rifle: Skyburner’s Oath – 29 Legendary Shards
We’ve already done our own analysis of Skyburner’s Oath and whether it’s the best Exotic Scout Rifle or not, but it’s worth noting the stats and perks here so you can make a snap decision if you want it.
The stats on this weapon are; Impact of 60, Range of 46, Stability of 55, Reload Speed of 55, Handling of 64, Magazine Size of 15, and fires 200 Rounds Per Minute. The hidden stats are; Zoom of 20, Inventory Size of 60, Aim Assistance of 90, and Recoil Direction of 100.
These are all fairly middling, nothing special to look at. The perks raise it up a bit but with random rolls it’s hard to see which ones are best for the weapon.
The Exotic perk for Skyburner’s Oath is Slug Rifle, which makes the weapon fire large explosive slugs that seek enemies when firing from the hip. When aiming down sights the slugs change and fire faster and straight, providing higher damage at a lower rate of fire. The other perk that this weapon should land in your inventory with is For the Empire, which makes the weapon fire in full auto, dealing additional damage to Cabal enemies, and it even penetrates Phalanx shields. For that last point alone, this weapon is worth owning.
Exotic Hunter Gauntlets: Young Ahamkara’s Spine – 23 Legendary Shards
A little insensitive if you like the final boss of Last Wish, these Gauntlets increase either Resilience or Recovery. The Exotic perk, Wish-Dragon Teeth, increases the duration of Trip-Mine Grenades, as well as the blast radius. You’ll get Tripmine Grenade energy when dealing damage from abilities.
Exotic Warlock Helmet: Skull of Dire Ahamkara – 23 Legendary Shards
Quite a worrying Helmet if you stare at it too long, this one boosts either Recovery or Resilience. The Exotic perk, Acutal Grandeur, gives you improved resistance to damage while using Nova Bomb. You’ll also get Super energy from Nova Bomb kills.
Exotic Titan Helmet: Helm of Saint-14 – 23 Legendary Shards
A classic Helmet, added with Curse of Osiris, which boosts either Resilience or Recovery (again). The Exotic perk, Starless Night, blinds enemies who enter your Ward of Dawn. Any allies who come through it will be given an overshield. If you guard with Sentinel Shield you’ll also blind enemies.
