Xur’s Inventory Destiny 2 – March 8th To 11th

Xur is back in Destiny 2 again, and it’s the first time since Season of the Drifter started that he’s been around! this week he’s hanging out in the Tower, you just head left from spawn and run all the way to the Hanger, past the Dead Orbit section, and all the way up the stairs to nowhere. Let’s check out what he’s got with him.

Exotic Bow: Trinity Ghoul – 29 Legendary Shards

A bow that was added with the Forsaken expansion, obviously, and is one of my personal favourites. The stats on Trinity Ghoul are:

  • Impact – 80
  • Accuracy – 96
  • Stability – 50
  • Draw Time – 840
  • Reload Speed – 55
  • Inventory Size – 64
  • Handling – 58

The hidden stats on Trinity Ghoul are:

  • Zoon – 18
  • Charge Time – 40
  • aim Assistance – 74
  • Recoil Direction – 77

These stats are generally pretty great. I’ve used the weapon a fair bit and at a base level it works perfectly, but with the perks it’s something else entirely. The perks you’ll definitely see on Trinity Ghoul are as follows.

  • Exotic Perk: Split Electron – This makes the weapon fire an arrow that splits when it’s released. The spread of each shot is reduced when aiming down sights and fully drawing before firing.
  • Lightning Rod – This perk grants a shot that will chain lightning and deal massive damage after you get a precision kill.

Honestly the Lightning Rod damage is worth having than most other rExotics in the game. I’ve used it in every activity and it’s never been impractical. We’ll be doing our own in-depth look at Trinity Ghoul over the next few days, so keep an eye out for that on the site.

Exotic Hunter Gauntlets: Oathkeeper – 23 Legendary Shards

Another Forsaken Exotic, these either boost Recovery, or greatly boost Mobility. The Exotic perk, Adamantine Brace, makes it so that you can hold a Bow’s charge indefinitely. This week, if you’re a Hunter, you need to get these and Trinity Ghoul if you don’t already own either one.

Exotic Titan Gauntlets: Ursa Furiosa – 23 Legendary Shards

Once again these are Forsaken Exotics, and they greatly boost Resilience. The Exotic Perk, Ursine Guard, allows you to move faster while guarding while Sentinel Shield is active. Any damage you guard against will be converted to Super energy when the Super ends.

Exotic Warlock Gauntlets: Ophidian Aspect – 23 Legendary Shards

The final Exotic for Xur this week is also from Forsaken, either boosting Recovery, or greatly boosting Mobility. The Exotic perk, Cobra Totemic, makes weapons ready and reload much faster than normal. the perk also increased the range of your melee attacks.

Summary

This week is an interesting one. Not only does Xur have items from the most recent expansion, but they also drop at a much higher Power Level. This is to help Guardians get up to the new Power Level faster, and access the new content for Season of the Drifter.

I’d say buy everything you can, as long as you don’t already own it. Trinity Ghoul and Oathkeeper really do go hand in hand, so you must get those if you main a Hunter and don’t already have them. Otherwise I’d say pick up what you can to push your Power Level up faster, this is one of the easiest legitimate strategies for doing so.

Let us know what you pick up in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
