Xur’s Inventory Destiny 2 – January 3rd To 7th 2020

Xur has come back to the system for the first time in 2020, making it a very momentus occasion! This week he’s hanging out on Io, in Giant’s Scar Echo Mesa. It’s pretty easy to find him, just run forward through the base and stick to the left once you’re outside again, you’re looking for a cave on the left somewhere, probably filled with Worshipping Guardians. Let’s dive in and check out what he’s got.

Exotic Shotgun: Lord of Wolves – 29 Legendary Shards

We’ll get our own in-depth analysis of Lord of Wolves up over the next few days since Xur is selling it this weekend. For now let’s take a look at the stats and perks to get a good idea of what it does.

• Intrinsic Perk: Shrapnel Launcher – Lord of Wolves fires a powerful short-range burst of Solar Damage
• Release the Wolves – Hold the trigger to swap to a longe rand more powerful burst

Exotic Titan Leg Armour: Dunemarchers – 23 Legendary Shards

This Leg Armour is from the base game of Destiny 2, and looks pretty great by itself. It was tweaked in an update a while ago so don’t worry, it won’t blind you anymore. The Intrinsic perk, Linear Actuators, increases your sprint speed, and makes you build up a static charge with that sprint. Melee attacking will release the static charge and chain through enemies.

Exotic Warlock Chest Armour: Sanguine Alchemy – 23 Legendary Shards

This is one of the most vampiric Exotics in Destiny 2, and it was added with Warmind. The Intrinsic perk, Heightened Senses, grants heightened senses to you and your allies while standing in a Rift. This allows all Guardians in the fireteam, near each other, to retain their radar whilst aiming down sights on all weapons. Nearby powerful enemies will also be marked and tracked through walls, which is really handy.

Exotic Hunter Leg Armour: St0mp-EE5 – 23 Legendary Shards

This Leg Armour is base game Destiny 2, and it’s amazing. The Intrinsic Perk, Hydraulic Boosters, increases your sprint and slide speed, improving every single jump you can equip too. Genuinely brilliant.

Our Take

I can’t let this week go by without telling you to buy St0mp-EE5, it’s one of the best Hunter Exotics out there. With that said, the rest of the Exotics on the table this week are all also really great in a very basic way. They provide help in a way that isn’t immediately obvious, but after playing with them for a while you really will come to appreciate them. Make sure you buy whatever will help you complete your collection, but focus on the class you use most.
