Xur is back again! This week he’s hanging around on IO, north of Giant’s Scar. Just drop onto the moon, head through the big entrance ahead of you, and stick to the left in the open area beyond that. He’s lurking in a spooky cave and is very hard to see, but will give you nightmares once you notice him. Let’s dive in to check out what he’s brought with him this week.
Exotic Pulse Rifle: Graviton Lance – 29 Legendary shards
We’ve already done out own analysis of whether Graviton Lance is the best Exotic Pulse Rifle, check it out before you buy it.
The stats on Graviton Lance are; fires 257 Rounds per Minute, Impact 29, Range 73-91, Stability 100, Magazine Size 31, Reload Speed 61, and Handling 54. The hidden stats on this weapon are; Zoom 17, Inventory Size 60, Aim Assistance 60-75, Recoil Direction 85.
The perks on Graviton Lance are a little subject to change with random rolls, but there are a couple that you’re guaranteed to see on it. The Exotic perk, Black Hole, makes the second shot of a burst rip a hole through space and time, meaning it deals high damage with no recoil or falloff. The only other perk you’re likely to see on Graviton Lance is Cosmology, which makes enemies killed with the weapon explode and detonate with Void damage, spawning Void projectiles which will track enemies to deal damage.
Exotic Hunter Leg Armour: Orpheus Rig – 23 Legendary Shards
This Leg Armour is base game, but still extremely good. Orpheus Rig boosts Mobility greatly, and the Exotic perk, Uncanny Arrows, grants ability energy for every enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. It also gives you more shots for Moebius Quiver.
Exotic Titan Gauntlets: Synthoceps – 23 Legendary Shards
More base-game Exotics, but these look pretty damn great too, boosting Resilience or Recovery. The Exotic perk, Biotic Enhancements, increases melee lunge damage. When you’re surrounded you’ll also have improved melee and Super damage.
Exotic Warlock Gauntlets: Aeon Soul – 23 Legendary Shards
These Gauntlets were added with the Warmind expansion, and you can really tell from the way they look. They boost Resilience greatly, or Recovery. The Exotic perk, Aeon Energy, grants Grenade Energy to Warlocks, Barricade Energy to Titans, and Dodge Energy to Hunters in the Aeon Cult. All other nearby allies will receive a fraction of the shared energy.
This week there isn’t too much that looks out of the ordinary. Definitely check your collections and buy what you’re missing so you have everything you can from Xur, the easiest source of Exotics. Graviton Lance really is a great Pulse Rifle, and well-worth considering if you haven’t got a good one in your arsenal.
