Yesterday Bungie dropped a brand new trailer for The Fourth Horseman, the latest legacy Exotic to hit Destiny 2. We knew it was coming because it’s part of the Season of the Worthy roadmap, we just didn’t know in what capacity. Now we’ve got a few more details, so let’s dive in.

First up, if you didn’t know, here’s how good The fourth Horseman was in Destiny 1.

The Fourth Horseman Is Now In Destiny 2

The reason that this trailer was released is most likely because the new Exotic is now in Destiny 2. At the time of writing the weekly reset has not yet hit, so we’re not aware of just how Guardians can get it just yet. As soon as we are, we’ll put a guide together and get it out on the site for you. What we do now know, is what the Intrinsic perk, and the other associated perk, for The Fourth Horseman are.

The Intrinsic Perk appears to be called The Fourth Horseman. This perk makes the damage and spread of each shot greater. We’ll have to wait to get our hands on it to see if that means that each subsequent shot has a wider spread and greater damage than the last, or if this Shotgun is simply an improved version of other Shotguns.

The second associated perk is called Fully Automatic. Well, you probably know what that does, it makes this weapon fully automatic. Holding down the trigger will see you spray the enemy with Shotgun rounds, perfect for decimating the competition, even if they’re overpowered.

This weapon was one of the best known in Destiny 1. It felt like a gimmick, and ultimately wasn’t that good in most situations. However, I remember having some really great times with it.

Any sort of PVE activity with a meaty boss needs this weapon. The Fully Automatic perk allows you to punish said boss, and even without any increased damage it would burn through that boss’s health bar.

This could be the new weapon that Guardians use to cheese big foes in PVE, but it could also prove to be pretty useful in PVP, particularly Trials of Osiris. Let us know what you think of it in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
