Stuff Sticking Around In Destiny 2 Once Season Of The Hunt Is Over
Don’t worry, you can still do a load of stuff.
Year 3 was an interesting one for Destiny 2. Sure, we got some decent seasons out of it, but Guardians were frustrated by the fear of missing out on all the content they brought with them. It was hard, because Bungie would simple remover all seasonal content when a new season started. With season of the Hunt, I’m pleased to report that’s changing for the better.
In their latest This Week At Bungie article, the developer went through exactly what’s staying in Destiny 2 when Season of the Hunt ends, and what’s not staying.
Staying
The first thing that’s sticking around for the entirety of Destiny 2 Year 4 are Season of the Hunt’s story missions. This means that you can experience the storyline no matter what time you pick it up before The Witch Queen.
If you like Wrathborn Hunts, then you’re in luck. These activities are sticking around in Destiny 2 for Year 4. This should give every Guardian a chance to get what they need in terms of exclusive content.
The Adored quest is also going to be sticking around for the whole of Year 4. I can tell you now that it’s one heck of a grind to get all the Ornaments, but this weapon is worth it.
The Vendor screen on The Tangled Shore is also going to be around for Crow for the whole of Year 4. This makes it seem like he won’t be moving into the Tower anytime soon though.
The seasonal Exotic quest for Hawkmoon will be around for the whole year. Don’t you fret, you can pick it up whenever. I haven’t got it yet, so this is great news for me.
Finally, the Seasonal Seal and Warden Titles will be available to earn for the rest of Year 4. This is pretty great, because otherwise those things are locked behind a wall for the Guardians who have the time to put into them and no one else.
Not Staying
There are a few things that won’t be around from Season of the Hunt for the rest of Year 4 though.
Crow’s bounties are the first thing you’ll be missing out on. I never thought these were that great anyway, so it’s no real loss.
The Messages from the Field are going to disappear. I kind of liked these but it makes sense seasonally.
Finally, the Seasonal Artifact and Season Pass are both going. This makes total sense since we’ll be in a brand new season. If you want to max out the Season Pass, you better do it now though.
That’s everything that’s staying and going from Destiny 2 at the end of Season of the Hunt. Let us know what you think of this shift in the comments.
