Over the weekend, dataminers uncovered something amazing. It’s the Spicy Ramen Coupon Emblem, and it’s everything you want it to be. It’s got a reference to Cayde-6, it’s all kinds of fabulous, but it’s also meant to be free. As a result, you shouldn’t try to buy it from anyone. This has become an issue since some of the aforementioned dataminers appear to be trying to sell the Emblem to unsuspecting Guardians. This is a warning, just like the ones already issued on Twitter, don’t buy it.
As you can see, @A_dmg04 puts it pretty plainly, this Emblem is meant to be a free gift that all Guardians get next month on Bungie Day. For anyone who is confused about the date, that’s July 7. This will be available to you for free on that day, so there’s no need to purchase it. Just wait a couple of weeks and Bungie will hand it right to you. After this, the developer may even give us something a little extra since we all waited.
Anyone who has purchased this Emblem or acquired it through other means early is a bit mental. Firstly, you’re wasting your money. This is the definition of a waste of money. If someone offered you free food and you instead opted to pay for the same food a few minutes before you would have gotten it otherwise, you need to learn some self-control.
Secondly, this was meant to be a surprise. Dataminers definitely have an important place in the games industry today. They help us uncover leaks and speculate about upcoming content. That stuff is even better when developers put red herrings out there for the dataminers to find. However, this is just silly. Just let Bungie do something nice, and let is be a surprise please.
Anyone who is curious about the Emblem, which is called A Classy Order, can check it out here. As you can see, it’s a blatant reference to Cayde-6. No, it doesn’t mean that he’s coming back. I want that more than anyone, but it’s not happening anytime soon, if ever.
Let us know your thoughts and feelings about the Emblem and those dumb enough to buy it in the comments.
