Destiny 2 Season Of The Chosen Has Some Fantastic Armour

There are going to be some good looking Guardians out there this season.

With their latest This Week At Bungie article, the Destiny 2 developer gave us a decent look at quite a lot of content that’s coming with Season of the Chosen. Chief among that content was armour and cosmetics. In this article, we’re going to focus in on the armour though, because we think that Bungie has gone off the rails with this season. The armour that’s now available in the game is just insane, and we can’t get our heads around why it hasn’t always been this good.

We’re going to start with the slightly more reasonable armour here. These sets are part of what you’ll pick up from Trials of Osiris this season. The shoulders are massive, the helmets are terrifying, everything about it screams cult. That’s what this should look like though. The Cult of Osiris all worship the Guardian who was obsessed with looking into Vex time technology. Now everyone is taking part in the PvP event that celebrates him. It only makes sense that the armour you’re given as a reward makes you look like a creepy cult member. I think this is the best Trials armour has ever looked.

This second image is from the reveal of Season of the Chosen. Guardians who have the season pass will get this on day one. The thing that stands out here are the helmets. They all have some unnecessary flourish that you’d definitely get caught on a low ceiling. Here’s the thing though, they still look incredible. There’s nothing wrong with this armour, in fact, I want it more because of how unique it looks.

I’m not sure if this final image is of Iron Banner armour, but it’s insane all the same. This is where the armour designers have really let their constraints go, and it’s paid off. I love every single one of these sets. I’d actually hope that the set above can be upgraded into this, though whether that’s a thing remains to be seen. Wherever you can get this mad armour, I will be playing as much as possible to ensure that I have that golden faceless Hunter set.

Let us know what you think of Season of the Chosen’s armour game so far in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
