What Could Super Good Advice Bring to Destiny 2?
What will the Destiny 2 version of this Exotic allow us to do?
Super Good Advice is an Exotic weapon from Destiny 1. However, all the rumors around Season 14 seem to point to the weapon returning next month. With this in mind, I wanted to take a look at the original version of this weapon. From there, I think we can make a decent guess as to what it could add to Destiny 2. We can also make a judgment about how good it’s going to be, even though there’s no data to support that assumption.
First, let’s dive into this weapon’s original stats and perks.
Stats
- Rate of Fire – 88
- Impact – 27
- Range – 10
- Stability – 36
- Reload Speed – 22
Hidden Stats
- Zoom – 15
- Inventory Size – 20
- Equip Speed – 30
- Aim Assistance – 30
- Recoil Direction – 80
Perks
I think we need to admit here that the perks are irrelevant. They’ll be randomized from a pool once the weapon comes to Destiny 2. However, we can still get an idea for what those perks could be by looking at these.
- Crowd Control – Kills with this weapon grant bonus damage for a short period of time.
- Intrinsic Perk: Super Good Advice – Missed shots may be returned to the magazine. Landed shots may be replaced in your magazine from reserves.
This is an Exotic Machine Gun of epic proportions. I remember using it for what felt like an infinite amount of time. The beauty of its Intrinsic Perk is that you can fire into a crowd and pretty much kill them all. Any missed shots will head back to your magazine, and any hits you land will be replaced from reserves. You can fire until you’ve used up all the ammo in your pocket.
This perk would translate extremely well to Destiny 2. There are plenty of activities with hordes of enemies to take down, and a weapon like this could melt them. Each new season brings an event that provides a way for you to advance the unique story, an activity that’s new to it. This activity always has tonnes of enemies, and a weapon like Super Good Advice would work extremely well for those encounters. Imagine if you’d had this in a Battlegrounds encounter.
I think that Bungie would be wise to basically translate this weapon directly into Destiny 2. Keep the Intrinsic Perk, and roll everything else from a pool. I’d be very happy to play around with that weapon. Let us know if you would be too in the comments.
