The Almost Mighty Ghost Shell Looks Like It Was Designed By A Maths Teacher

While scrolling through Twitter I came across what I legitimately thought was an amazing fan-made project. It was an image of The Almost Might Ghost Shell, an Exotic item that’s available for any Guardian to purchase right now in Destiny 2. The image was shared by an account called DestinyTheMeme, which didn’t help my confusion, but after a little digging it became obvious that no, this is a real item Guardians can spend real money on in Season of the Worthy for some reason.

The Almost Mighty Exotic Ghost Shell

You can definitely see where the designers were coming from with this item. It’s funny, really funny. In fact it’s so funny that it looks like a joke about Destiny 2. It feels as though the item should be a joke about Destiny 2, something, as DestinyTheMeme points out, your highschool math teacher made in their spare time. For me, living in the UK, I’d say that this was created by my highschool science tutor, we were split into groups called tutor groups and each one had a ‘tutor’. He would let us do all the mad things that teachers aren’t supposed to let you do, like fill washing up bubbles with gas and then set your hand on fire, producing flames so high that they scorched the ceiling. But I digress.

This is the first item that I’ve thought shouldn’t be a purchasable piece of content. I’m usually quite happy to back Bungie because they put a lot of work into their items. Yes, some of them are a little funny, but they’re all still relevant in the context of the game’s lore. This doesn’t even make sense.

The only person I can see using this Ghost Shell is Prince Uldren. The poor guy probably heard about The Almighty heading down to Earth and wanted to make light of the situation so that everyone would stop hating him. Unfortunately, by taping two rulers to his Ghost, he’s now just annoying everyone even more by having his Ghost accidentally smack them in the head whenever it appears.

I think you’ll all agree with me in saying that this item shouldn’t be available for real-world money. At the very least it should be part of the premium track of the season pass. To be totally fair, I think it should be part of the free track.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.

the almost mighty shell looks very similar to the almighty and it has a similar name so I can infer it has something to do with the almighty as it also has similar shape
