Destiny 2 Season 14 Release Date and Theories

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen is coming to an end very soon, meaning that Destiny 2 Season 14 is on the horizon. It looks like we’ve got less than a month to go before this season releases. In this article, we’ve pulled together the few tidbits we have about the season, including that release date, and are going to lay them all out for you.

Destiny 2 Season 14 Release Date

The release date of Destiny 2 Season 14 is set to be May 11. This is the date that Season of the Chosen will end, which is why we’re using it as the date for the next season starting. There’s nothing special about the date, and it doesn’t tell us much about what the season could be. For that, we need to look at what’s happened, and what’s coming.

Destiny 2 Season 14 Theme

We know that Ada-1 is coming back in Season 14 as a Transmog vendor. Her return, and this new power, indicate a theme of changeability. Nothing is certain, which feels a lot like how the relationship between the Cabal and Guardians has been.

During Season of the Chosen, we’ve seen an enemy force working against us from behind the shadows. It’s easy to say that this is Savathun, but I think there’s more to it. Whether this leads to the themes of Season 14 remains to be seen. It’ll certainly be part of the background though.

The other thing that we know is coming with Season 14 is the return of the Vault of Glass. This was the first raid in Destiny 1, and it’s still hailed as one of the best. It may be a reworked version, but it’ll still be fun for every Guardian who wants to jump in and try it.

With a Vex raid, it only feels right that we’ll be looking into the Vex again in Season 14. The last season to focus on them didn’t really do the race justice. However, with all that Bungie has learned about seasons in the past year, I think it would be good for them to have another crack at them.

A Vex-based season would allow us to explore espionage throughout time. There’s so much potential in this race that hasn’t been explored, and I think we could all do with looking at something other than the Cabal for a season or so.
