Vex Wyvern VS Taken Captain, Who Wins In Destiny 2?

In this week’s This Week At Bungie Article, Bungie posed an interesting question. Who would win in Destiny 2 between a Wyvern, the most annoying enemy the Vex have, and a Taken Captain, the most well-defended enemy in the game? I think we should weigh in on this one, because it could be too close to call. Then again, you might think differently.

Wyvern

The latest addition to the Vex army is easily the most annoying enemy I’ve ever faced in a game. They’re hard as nails to kill, are almost always packing an impenetrable shield that requires some sort of mechanic to shut down, and hit like a train. These things are no joke. Every time I enter an activity with one, I leave it to the other Guardians in the area. any time I get near enough to deal some sort of damage, I get blasted off of the face of whatever planet or moon I happen to be standing on.

The bottom line is that I don’t think fighting these things is fun. I reckon it’s borderline stressful because it makes me want to put Destiny 2 down and go for a walk. What do you think?

Taken Captain

The only thing that makes the Cabal shield-bearers more annoying is when they’re absorbed into the Taken army and given a way to use that shield to throw you across the map. Facing these guys in a Gambit match is a war of attrition. It’s a given that you won’t be able to shoot past their shield, so you have to be clever and get around them somehow in order to actually deal damage.

Unlike the Wyvern, I don’t find these guys so hard to deal with. Still, there have been moments when I’ve had enough of them and have beeded to take a walk. What about you?

Who Wins?

I have to give this fight over to the Taken Captain. The Wyvern just doesn’t have the ability to take it down. The shield these guys pack is impenetrable and can throw the Wyvern a country mile if it gets too close. Add in the fact that the Taken Captain will obliterate the Wyvern with its weapon, and it’s not hard to see why they would win.
