Xur Inventory Destiny 2 – January 12th to 16th

Xur has returned once again in Destiny 2! This week he’s in the EDZ up on the high bit of ground that’s completely out of the way. If you’re unfamiliar with Xur he is the Exotic vendor, sent by The Nine, who comes to the system once a week to shift Exotic items to those of us with Legendary Shards to burn. On top of the Three Of Coins consumable and Fated Engram, which will give you an Exotic item that you’re guaranteed not to have, Xur has the following:

Exotic Grenade Launcher – The Colony – 29 Legendary Shards

This weapon fires 140 rounds per minute, has a Blast Radius of 20, Velocity of 28, Stability of 82, Reload Speed of 64, and Handling of 82. The hidden stats are Zoom 13, Inventory Size of 70, Aim Assistance of 60, and Recoil Direction of 80.

The Exotic Perk is Insectoid Robot Grenades, which means this weapon’s grenades are insectoid robots that chase down enemies, exploding close to them. Linear Compensator slightly increases Projectile Speed, Blast Radius, and Stability. High-Velocity Rounds increases Projectile Speed further and Reload Speed. Serve The Colony quickly reloads the weapon while it’s unequipped thanks to those insectoid robots. Finally Composite Stock slightly increases Stability and Handling Speed.

This weapon sounds like a blast! (pun intended). However, the major problem I have with it is the fact that it’s a Grenade Launcher. It’s no secret that these are the worst weapons in Destiny 2, but that doesn’t exactly mean that this weapon will automatically suck. I would be wary and only get this if you’re not going to buy any of the armour this week.

Warlock Helmet The Stag – 23 Legendary Shards

This Helmet increases Resilience and Health Recovery. The Exotic Perk, Dearly Departed, grants you Rift energy when you’re critically wounded. It also creates a brief healing rift on your corpse when you die. If I’m honest that is a pretty awesome Perk to have, and I’d have this on my Warlock. Also, it’s a Stag head!

Hunter Gauntlets Shunobu’s Vow – 23 Legendary Shards

These Gauntlets increase Mobility and Resilience. The Exotic Perk, New Tricks, improves your Skip Grenade and gives you an additional Skip Grenade charge as well. This is quite handy because those Skip Grenades can be devastating, trust me I know. If you’re a Hunter main then these are definitely for you, I can attest to how great they are.

Titan Leg Armour Mk. 44 Stand Asides – 23 Legendary Shards

This Leg Armour increases Health Recovery and Mobility. The Exotic Perk, Seriously Watch Out, gives you an overshield when you sprint with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash on full health. Hits with those will also recharge a portion of your melee energy. These are pretty damn great because they give you the ability to punch again and again without much stopping in the middle.

If you’re still unsure about what to buy this week, go for what you don’t have to get that collection built up. Of everything here I would say go for the weapon because it does actually sound quite good. However, you should always go for the armour that’s going to help your main character, so bear that in mind while you’re making this decision if you want to boost your Power Level fast.
