It's 2021 And Telesto Is Broken Once Again In Destiny 2

Well, we made it about three weeks into 2021 without Telesto providing a massive exploit in Destiny 2. Now things are back to normal though because a pretty fantastic bug has been discovered. It’s one that you have to use with a specific Subclass, but since it provides near-endless healing, I think it’s probably worth it. Check out the video below to see what the heck I’m talking about in action.

So this glitch is specific to those who activate Devourer on bottom-tree Voidwalker. It then allows them to get health from kills, and resets the timer for that perk. Here’s the thing though, Telesto activates the healing affect as well.

With this perk active, whenever a Telesto bolt explodes, it’ll grant you a small portion of healing. The only caveat is that the bolts must touch the floor before exploding.

This opens up all sorts of cheesy tactics for every single game mode. You can have health buffing your Guardian over time if you blast some Telesto bolts on the floor and run off. Alternatively, you can blast the bolts at your feet, melee to activate them, and then enjoy the boosted health as you savage your enemies.

If you’re a Guardian, you must know that Telesto has had its fair share of bugs. For some reason it seems to break with every update, though the bugs are extremely random and don’t ever seem to make sense. I find it so crazy every time I hear about one of thee bugs.

AS of now, we’ve had things range from infinite ammo to almost infinite health. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Telesto could one-shot every boss in every raid before too long.

It begs the question, why is this weapon still in Destiny 2? Bungie has no issue removing weapons or replacing perks like with Cold Front, so why not just take out Telesto for a while? I don’t understand why they’re so reluctant to remove a weapon like this and simply work on it in the background to ensure that future patches won’t cause these kinds of glitches ever again.

Let us know what you think of Telesto in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
