Destiny 2 update news

Destiny 2 was added to the Xbox Game Pass in September. Developper Bungie has let us know during the Xbox Games Showcase. This will also give Game Pass users access to all dlc, including the upcoming Beyond Light expansion package.

Microsoft is not yet announcing a specific release date for the Game Pass version of Destiny 2. Game Pass users will also have access to the two current add-ons for the game. On 10 November, the Beyond Light-dlc will also be added to the Game Pass. This dlc was initially scheduled to be released in September, but was postponed for a few months earlier this month. The expansion adds a new location, a new subclass and a new raid to the game, among other things. Beyond Light costs 40 euros.

Destiny 2 will also be released on the Xbox Series X, Microsoft reports. However, this had already been announced by Bungie. The game will run on the Xbox Series X at 4k resolution at 60fps and the game will get the same upgrade for the PlayStation 5, at no extra cost. The game will also be added to Microsoft’s xCloud, allowing players to play the game via the cloud.

If you care (like all gamers) about having fun, updates are important for all types of games. And especially for those that like to rake in some cash while having fun. The best updated online casino games can be found on specialised websites where colourful strategic games go hand in hand with more classical casino games, like roulette or blackjack. Anyway, it’s a perfect way to enjoy casino games from the comfort of your own couch and computer. The fact that they’re multi-platform is a huge addition to its attractiveness.

Developer Bungie gives Destiny 2’s pvp mode a 120fps mode. At least the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 get the support for the high frame rate. The next update to the game will be released on December 8th.

Bungie mentioned the arrival of the 120fps mode in the Xbox Launch Celebration library. The resolution of the Crucible mode when using the high frame rate is not yet known. Earlier, the developer announced that Destiny 2 will be updated for the next-gen consoles, after which the game will run in 4k at 60fps on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

It is obvious that the 120fps mode uses a lower resolution. The high frame rate is only available in Crucible, the pvp multiplayer part of the game, where players compete against each other.

With the previously announced update, the game will run on the Xbox Series S in 1080p resolution at 60fps. If that console also gets a 120fps mode, it is likely that the resolution will have to be further reduced. Bungie hasn’t given any details about this yet.

On Tuesday, a new extension for Destiny 2, entitled Beyond Light, also appeared. Since September, the game including extensions has been part of Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription. Xbox owners with that subscription can download the new extension for free. Currently the console game is still running in 30fps. The next update will appear on 8 December.

Bungie also announced details about Season of Arrivals, the new Destiny 2 season that started this year. This will continue the story in which the Pyramid-ships are central. During the new season the first Pyramid-ship will be on display on the moon of Io and this will trigger a series of events, which will unfold during the season and later in the expansion. After Beyond Light, there will be two more expansions. In 2021 Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will appear and a year later Destiny 2: Lightfall is planned. Bungie announced all details about the upcoming expansions and the new season in a livestream.
