Destiny 2 Vesper Of Radius Disabled

Vesper of Radius is down!

Destiny 2 Vesper Of Radius Disabled

Searching through the various forums and social media where Guardians lurk, I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter about Vesper of Radius. I wasn’t aware of what this was, because I’m a Hunter main, but after a bit of research, I really do think this is something worth discussing. It’s a great-looking Exotic, and it has some particularly useful perks that will make you a force to be reckoned with in both PvE and PvP. However, there’s an issue with it.

Last week, Bungie disabled the Exotic due to an exploit. They haven’t divulged what the exploit is, but every Guardian wearing the Exotic got a notification that it was disabled when Bungie took it down.

In preparation for when this Exotic comes back, let’s look at what it does.

What Is Vesper Of Radius?

This piece of Exotic Armour has a couple of perks that are essential to its use. The first is, of course, its Intrinsic Perk. This is Planetary Torrent, which causes Rifts to start an Arc shockwave when cast. It also recharges your Rift energy faster when you’re surrounded by enemies. Perfect for Guardians like me who want to get stuck into the action.

The next perk is what makes this a very special Exotic though. Unflinching Aim can be rolled with this Exotic Armour in a number of forms. There’s one for each and every weapon type in Destiny 2. It reduces the flinching you experience form incoming fire while you’re aiming with the weapon the perk relates to.

Last night I was trying to shoot a big Fallen boss, but all the minions he had in the area meant that I was getting shot too much to have a decent shot at his head. with this Armour on, I probably wouldn’t have had a problem. That’s why I think it’s so useful, because you could get lucky and pick up a roll with the perfect Unflinching Aim for the weapons you prefer using.

The final perk slot then has an Ammo Finder perk, which again can relate to the type of weapon you prefer, and the weapon type that’s associated with the Unflinching Aim perk.

All in all, this Exotic Armour is fantastic for everyday use. Sure, you might want something a bit more special to take into a raid, but for everything, from Iron Banner to the main campaign, I can see this armour being extremely useful for each and every Guardian. I just hope Bungie brings it back soon.

Let us know what you think of the armour in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
