Watch The GuardianCon Charity Marathon Today

Today between 1-5 PM PDT, 4-9 PM EDT, or 9PM to 2AM GMT, you can watch the GuardianCon Charity Livestream over on Twitch. The official livestream is being hosted by the GuaridanCon Twitch channel, but there will be plenty of big streamers out there hosting the stream I’m sure. Bungie have laid out a lot of incentives for donating, as well as some other stuff surrounding the event, so let’s dive in a check out what’s going on.

Firstly, there will be a Bungie employee playing Destiny 2 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC, switching at different times. There is a bounty for killing said employees you’ll get eternal glory, and the Sign of Mutual Combat Emblem. For the first hour Bungie will be in Crucible Quickplay, for the second they’ll be in Gambit Prime, and for the third and fourth they’ll be in Iron Banner.

Donation Incentives

The GuardianCon Charity Marathon is raising money for St.Jude Children’s Hospital. This is a great cause, but if you’d like to know more about what you’re giving to you can find out more here. The donation incentives that Bungie have laid out are as follows.

• $10 – Emblem Code: Sign of Gambit 2018
• $25 – Entered into the Bungie Prize Pool for a chance to win
• $50 – Emblem Code: ‘New’ Gateway to Knowledge
• $100 – Entered into having a chance to win a signed Collector’s Edition of Destiny 1, Destiny 2, or Destiny 2 Shadowkeep
• $300 – Invert controls for the player of your choice
• $500 – Three players rotate their stations
• $777 – Player of your choice wears a Shaxx helmet for a match
• $1,000 – DeeJ reads a lore entry
• $5,000+ – Studio tour for a Fireteam of three (a maximum of five with lodging and travel not included)

Donation Goals

Bungie have also put out some goals for this charity livestream, something that’s really impressive for an independent developer to do. The donation goals are as follows.

• Every $10,000 – dmg04 will eat a slice of bread
• $25,000 – This Week At Bungie article releases early
• $50,000 – Legendary Weapon Art for Shadowkeep revealed
• $75,000 – Legendary Weapon Art for Shadowkeep #2 revealed
• $100,000 – DeeJ plays a match
• $150,000 – dmg04 will get a Destiny tatoo!

Top Donor Rewards

On top of these hilarious donation goals we have some rewards for the top donations for the entire stream. These are as follows.

• Top Donor: A Prince Uldren statue, a signed copy of the Shadowkeep Collector’s Edition, a signed Collector’s Edition of Destiny 2, a signed Collector’s Edition of Destiny 1, 3A Titan, a Bronze Cayde-6 statue, a MegaBlocks Goliath Tank, and a Cayde-6 game box

You enter the Bungie Prize Pool if you donate $25. Most of the items will be signed, though certain items, such as the Ghost Plushy, will be a bit difficult to do. If you donate $25 you have a chance to win any of the following.

• MegaBlock Goliath Tank (5 to win)
• Plushy Ghost (5 to win)
• Vinyl Ghost (5 to win)

Finally, there are also some collector’s editions to win as part of pure donations. These are all up for grabs if you donate $100.

This event is going to be incredible, and it always raises so much money for charity. It’s important to remember that the cause is what we’re supporting here, and even though Bungie is setting aside a mere 4 hours for the event, they’re going to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help children who need it.
