Get Destiny 2 For Free On PC
Right now and until the 18th of November you can get Destiny 2 on PC for no cost at all.
Bungie and Activision have announced that they’re giving away copies of Destiny 2 on PC for free from the 2nd of November all the way through to the 18th of November. The game is available from Battle.net and simply requires the user to activate Blizzard SMS Protect.
Anyone who gets a copy on PC, or who already owns Destiny 2 on PC through Battle.net will receive an exclusive gift. This is an in-game emblem that marks the game’s anniversary. Sadly I don’t think any of us console players are going to be able to get that emblem for ourselves, but maybe there will be something else for us to get in the mean time.
In addition to the free PC version of Destiny 2 being given away, there’s an upcoming free weekend for Gambit, the game mode added with Destiny 2 Forsaken. The PVPVE mode will be available from the 9th of November until the 11th of November, so this weekend in case you hadn’t already figured that out.
I can’t really stress how good this game mode is. If you’re a Destiny 2 player who hasn’t’ taken the plunge into Forsaken just yet then this is the time that you’ll be sorely tempted to. When it comes to PVP Destiny 2 has a lot going for it, but this mode that blends it with PVE is probably my favourite side activity in the whole game.
In case you were wondering what the specs for Destiny 2 on PC are we’ve got you covered. The minimum system requirements are; Intel Core i3-3250, Intel Pentium G4560, or an AMD FX-4350, as well as a GeForce GTX 660 2GB, GTX 1050 2GB, or Radeon HD 7850. You’ll also need 6GB of RAM, and 68GB of HDD space on the computer. Obviously an internet connection is required because this is an always online game.
Personally I’ve always been a Playstation gamer but this has me tempted to play Destiny 2 on my PC now. I was never really okay with investing in the game twice since I’ve purchased all the DLC, but with Playstation opening up their online platform I might even be able to link my account to my PC game eventually. Let us know what you think in the comments.
