Destiny 2’s Radiant Cliffs Has A Lot Of Glitches

Why do you Guardians need all these glitches?

Destiny 2's Radiant Cliffs Has A Lot Of Glitches

Over the weekend I was keeping an eye on what all you Guardians were chatting about, and I saw a huge spike in chatter about Radiant Cliffs. Specifically, this talk was all about glitches on the Crucible map. I’m not 100% certain on this point, but I believe that the reason chatter spiked is because the map was in rotation for Trials of Osiris, meaning that there are still a number of Guardians hoping to cheat their way to the Lighthouse.

After doing some research, I found that there are a ridiculous number of glitches in this map. Just look at the video below and see how broken it is.

It does appear that the intention behind this video is to show off some cool out of bounds secrets, but there’s a definite undertone of cheesing enemy teams in Trials.

Trials of Osiris is already hugely competitive. It’s meant to be an enjoyable endgame PvP experience, but with tactics like glitches in your arsenal, it’s more of a battle of brains. The team with the best map knowledge will always win, and that’s all there it to it. I don’t think that’s the idea.

It’s quite disheartening to see Guardians actively searching for game-breaking bugs to help them score an illegitimate win. It’s one of the reasons that Bungie needs to bring back activities like Prison of Elders. With a horde mode, there’s very little you can do to cheese the game. When it comes to PvP though, you can absolutely demolish other Guardians if you just know the right areas on the map to do it.

Bungie has been working to make Trials of Osiris a great activity for years. However, I think they should put that effort into a full year of PvP seasons. We need more PvP activities, better bounties, and a much better feel of progression. for too long, PvP has been left by the wayside, and now is the time to make a change.

Radiant Cliffs is just one example of a map full of glitches. I know there are other maps that are just as easy to glitch out of and cheese other teams on. My question is: does that make it fun? I think that Bungie needs to address this and do something to draw Guardians into a brand new pinnacle PvP activity.

Let me know what you think of this in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
