Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer Day One Checklist
Do these if you’re stuck for what to play in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer is out today. This is one of the most exciting times of the year because we get a huge drop of new content. It’s one of the few times each year that it feels like there’s too much to do in Destiny 2, so you have to spend all of your time working through it. I’m very excited to get stuck into this content, but I’ll be waiting until tomorrow before I do. For those who are jumping in today though, here are some things to keep you busy if you’re not sure what direction to start moving.
Claim Everything on the Season Pass
If you’ve got the season pass, you’ll have a few items unlocked automatically. This includes an Exotic weapon. Claim everything you can so you get to use it for as much time as possible.
Complete the Story Quests
Season of the Splicer will have a few story quests to complete. One of these will lead to the Seasonal Artifact. Make sure you do this as early as possible. You want to get the Artifact as soon as you can because everything else will count towards it. This will also allow you to take on the seasonal activity.
Play Override
Override is a six -player matchmade activity, it’s a dream. This hasn’t been a thing since Season of Dawn. It’s the peak of Destiny 2 activities, and the fact that it’s matchmade makes it even better. Play this new activity until you’re sick of it. The more you do, the better your rewards will be.
Try out Transmog
Alongside everything else, transmog is finally live in Destiny 2. Take the opportunity while it’s fresh to try it out. The worst that can happen is that you’ll waste an Ornament, but you’ve got 20 this season so it doesn’t matter so much.
Complete all Available Seasonal Challenges
Since Seasonal Challenges are now a thing, you should start completing as many as possible. There might be none live, but there might also be seven that are available. If you do everything else on this list, then take the time to complete a few of these. It’ll put you in good standing for the rest of the season.
Those are our tips for getting started today. Let us know what you get up to in the comments.
