The Core Four Guide: Destiny 2 Deep Stone Crypt

The final encounter’s challenge for Deep Stone Crypt was just unlocked today, and it’s one that I’m sure most of you have already done in your normal raiding. For the sake of those who haven’t, here’s how to do it

How to Complete The Core Four

Tl;dr: dunk all four nukes in one bomb phase.

It’s easy enough, you’ll just have to be coordinated with your team. When Taniks goes into his phase where you shoot the thrusters at his feet, he’ll be at one of the three locations where you drop the nukes. For simplicity’s sake we’ll call them White, Blue, and Orange.

When you drop 4 nukes, they will be deposited in the 2 locations where Taniks is not. For example, if you’re picking up nukes in Orange, you’ll be depositing all 4 in Blue and White.

This negates the need for Scanner, but if you don’t kill Taniks in one phase, you’ll have a deactivated augment for the next phase. Whoever’s augment is deactivated should put it away in one of the three augment terminals before damage phase, so they can pick it up right after.

Operator and Suppressor will never carry bombs. Their main focus is on doing their respective jobs. The other 4 guardians will each take a bomb to a receptacle. It’s easiest to define where everyone is going beforehand, so there’s no confusion about where to go.
