Invitation Of The Nine Week 2

invitation-of-the-nine-week-1

Xur is currently hanging around in Destiny 2, and it’s your opportunity to pick up another Invitation of the Nine. The item costs 9 Legendary Shards and will open up the next step for you in the nine week quest related to The Nine. We covered what you needed to do for week 1 in a previous article, here we’re going to cover the quest steps for Invitation of the Nine week 2.

You can pick up week 2 anytime from Xur after you’ve finished the week 1 quest step. This isn’t limited to weeks by dates, it’s limited by how far you’ve progressed.

Week 2 – Justice

For week 2 of Invitation of the Nine you’ll be completing the quest step named Justice. This first went live on the 22nd of March, and requires Guardians to collect samples from Hive and Fallen on Titan. In order to collect nine samples from each race you need to run around killing them, simple enough. The other part of this initial step in the quest is that you must complete Savathun’s Song, the Strike.

You should be able to pick up most of the samples you need by completing Savathun’s Song. You’ll murder enough Hive and Fallen along the way that it should minimise the amount of time you spend doing it after the Strike around Titan.

When you’ve done all of the above your Invitation of the Nine will transform into a bounty named Into The Unknown. You’re not going to complete this bounty though, instead you need to go to the Director and select the new node under Reckoning, Mystery and Potential.

This node is named the same as it was for Week 1, but the result is very different. Here you need to head through the Reckoning portal, which will drop you behind the Emissary talking to one of the Nine. You can listen to what they’re saying to learn more about the Nine here, and when it’s over you’ll get some new powerful gear.

In week 2 the Drifter has nothing new to add in terms of dialogue. Let us know how you get on with this step of the quest in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
