Europa's Secret Emote Puzzle | How To Find And Solve it

With the launch of Beyond Light, Bungie has once again released a huge new map and it is riddled with hidden secrets and challenging puzzles for Guardians with a keen enough eye to catch them. One puzzle is requiring Guardians to bust out the moves and dance their way to extra loot!

A Message

Some Guardians may have noticed while wandering around in the Eventide Ruins on Europa when the weather is particularly bad a message may appear which states: “Nearby, a powerful enemy waits out the storm….” This is the cue that the puzzle can be started by hunting down the powerful enemy. However, this powerful enemy is not patrolling in the open.

The Hunt Begins

The enemy you are looking for is called the “Technorunner.” They are a yellow bar captain who is hiding in the building in the southernmost part of the area. The technorunner is not is too hard of an enemy to beat if you are around 1250 light level. defeating the Technorunner will give you the buff “Riis-Reborn Key Codes” and you can move on to the next piece of the puzzle.

Back to the Crux

Head into Riis-Reborn Approach and head towards the large crux where we watch Eramis’ speech. Upon jumping down into the main area you will encounter a higher number of Fallen than you normally would and a boss named “Kevicks, Vex Researcher,” who is not much harder to defeat than the Technorunner. Once they are defeated, you are going to look for a console on the back wall of where you jump into the main room. You will know you found it when it opens and you are prompted to “Drink Inert Radiolarian Fluid.” This sounds gross, but Guardians have done more in the name of loot before.

Find the Signal

Upon drinking the fluid, you will receive a new buff that tells you what area to head to next. This buff will read as “Asterion Abyss Signal,” or another of Europa’s areas. Head to the area that is the origin of single. Once there, you need to look for a small Vex conflux. It can sometimes be tucked away in a corner of the area, but it glows very brightly making it hard to miss. Interacting with the conflux spawns you atop a large floating Vex structure where the emote puzzle takes place.

Time to Bust out the Moves

To complete the puzzle you must go around to each platform surrounding the structure and use an emote without allowing more than one minute and forty seconds to pass. The trick, however, is figuring out the right order of platforms to emote on. Thankfully, the Vex left us hints in the small pyramids surrounding the plates on the platforms. Once you use an emote on the platform you spawned on, look at the three pyramids. The pyramid that is glowing points towards the next platform to emote on, if no pyramid is glowing then you may be on the wrong platform or you may not have been standing in the right spot. Simply repeat this process until you emote on all four platforms and a chest will appear before you signifying that you have completed the puzzle!

It would have been nice if this actually rewarded something cool, like a unique emote, instead of the blue trash that it does….
