Destiny 2 Season Of The Worthy Roadmap In-Depth Analysis

As we did with Season of Dawn, we’re going to be taking an in-depth look at the seasonal roadmap for Season of the Worthy. This is where we look into each of the dates in the roadmap and analyse what will be occurring, and what else might get thrown in along the way. Take a look at the roadmap below and let’s begin.

10th Of March

This is the date that Season of the Worthy kicks off. It’ll be a big day for the Destiny 2 servers, most of which will probably crash for the first time that week. We’ll be getting new Legendary armour and weapons on this day, plus the new PVE activity, Seraph Towers. These are described as a Public Event, and look to be similar to Escalation Protocol. If I had to guess, I’d say that we’ll be activating the towers in order to defeat waves of enemies and solve a few puzzles.

13th Of March

Just three days later Trials of Osiris will kick off once again. The pinnacle PVP activity is coming back, and from what we can see it looks like all three maps will be available, we just won’t know which one is being used until the day. This is where the best loot in the game will be coming from for Season of the Worthy, so get ready to jump in and slay some Guardians.

10th + 24th Of March

On both the 10th and the 24th of March we will be getting Seraph Bunkers. On the 10th of March it will be one for the EDZ, and on the 24th it will be one on the Moon. These are Legendary Lost Sectors, filled with some of the greatest enemies to kill in the season. These will also somehow link into some tasty Bounties for the season. If I was a betting man, I’d say that these are where we’ll get those new Rasputin-themed weapons for the season.

21st Of April

On this date we will be getting a brand new Nightfall Strike difficulty, Grandmaster Ordeal. We have no details on how this will change the Nightfall Strike, but it’s sure to make it just as tough as a raid. There’s a possibility that there will be brand new mechanics for each Strike with this difficulty applied, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

21st Of April To 11th Of May

Between these dates all Guardians will be given access to the free event that is Guardian Games. This is a class competition, which sounds like it will pit Hunters against Warlocks and Titans, and vice versa. There will be new Legendary armour on offer for the event, and I bet it’s the best-looking armour to date. I think this is as close to Faction Wars as we’ll ever get, so I’m really looking forward to it.

7th Of April

This is the date that the Seraph Bunker on Io will open. This seems to be the last thing that Bungie wants to reveal for now, meaning there are probably other Seraph Bunkers to come.

Our Take

Season of the Worthy runs until June, and what we have here is half of the planned content. I’m excited for everything here, but Guardian Games will be a particular highlight in my opinion. I think that Season of the Worthy stands a good chance of being the best season in Destiny 2 yet, and with Season of Dawn to beat that really is saying something.
