Compass Rose is the Legendary shotgun that you can pick up right now in Solstice of Heroes 2021. It’s a promising weapon with a bunch of good rolls that you could potentially get with it. However, before you prat around with all the perks and traits, you need to actually pick it up. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how you go about doing that.
How to Get Compass Rose in Destiny 2
This isn’t actually that difficult. Essentially, you just need to complete the opening quest for Solstice of Heroes 2021. That’ll net you the weapon, but you actually need to knuckle down and take that quest on if you want to pick the weapon itself up. It’s not simply a case of getting into the game and doing whatever you want. There’s a set path to follow.
The quest requires you to earn Solstice Key Fragments and Solstice Packages. That’s pretty much all there is to it after that initial quest. Compass Rose can drop from Solstice Packages once you’ve completed the initial quest, and this is how you’ll go about picking up new rolls of the weapon. As we’ve already said in a previous article though, you’ll need to open these to upgrade your armor for the event. Don’t open every single one as soon as you get it. Save them for when you need them, and then open every single one you have left at the end of the event.

The issue with looking at the perks here is that they’re random, so you’re never guaranteed to get what we got. However, we can point out that there are some very nice perks on this shotgun. For example, Wellspring is a particularly good trait that generates ability energy for all uncharged abilities with every single kill. Using this, you can blast your way through enemies and keep your melee and grenade abilities pretty much fully charged all the time. Just keep an eye on the ammo you’ve got left to help you.
