Why You Should Get Loaded Question In Season Of The Forge (Season 5)

When it comes to the three Pinnacle weapons available in Destiny 2 during the Season of the Forge, it’s the Fusion Rifle Loaded Question that’s been causing quite a stir among Guardians.

The stats on this weapon are; a Charge Time of 860, Impact of 95, Range of 57, Stability of 32, Magazine Size of 5, Reload Speed of 27, and Handling of 32. The hidden stats are; Zoom of 15, Inventory Size of 30, Aim Assistance of 66, and Recoil Direction of 77.

With perks being randomized it’s hard to figure out exactly what’s going on in terms of the perks you’ll get on Loaded Question. The perks listed on Destiny 2 DB are as follows;

  • High-Impact Frame, which makes this weapon slow-firing but deal bigger damage, and more accurate when stationary and aiming down the sights.
  • Red Dot 2 MOA, which is a short zoom that slightly increases Range, whilst also increasing Handling Speed.
  • Ionized Battery, which greatly increases the Magazine Size but also greatly decreases the Reload Speed.
  • Auto-Loading Holster, which automatically reloads Loaded Question after it’s been holstered for a short time.
  • Reservoir Burst, which causes extra damage and any enemy killed to explode on death if your shot came from a full battery, or full Magazine.
  • Tracker Disabled, which means that no tracker is displayed on the weapon.
  • Kill Tracker, which tracks and displays the number of enemies you’ve killed with Loaded Question.
  • Finally, Crucible Tracker, which tracks the number of enemies you’ve killed with Loaded Question in the Crucible.

Obviously you wont’ be able to have all of these at once, but I think it’s a pretty decent list myself.

But why should you get Loaded Question during the Season of the Forge?

Loaded Question is a harder Pinnacle weapon to get this season. In order to obtain it from the bounty offered by Zavala you need to complete 40 Strikes, or Nightfalls, get 1,000 kills with Arc damage, and 500 kills with Fusion Rifles. While this may not sound too difficult it’s extremely time consuming. Strikes take a long time, and Nightfalls are a big commitment, so you may not even get through 40 this season if Strikes aren’t what you like to run.

With that said, this weapon has a Crucible Tracker perk, and that in my opinion is worth having. The Bragging rights you have over other Guardians as this weapon shames them with the number of kills you’ve made in PVP are more than worth the time and effort commitment required to get it.

As far as Fusion Rifles go, this one isn’t actually too bad. I’m not a big fan of them usually, they’re clunky and take ages to fire. Usually I’m long dead by the time my shot goes off, but from what I’ve seen of Loaded Question so far it appears to be a quicker and far more powerful Fusion Rifle than others. Maybe this is because it’s a Pinnacle weapon, maybe it’s because Fusion rifles have been given a boost this season.

At the end of the day you should get this Pinnacle weapon because you’re going to be doing Strikes. Strikes are an easy way to get powerful gear each day from the Daily challenge, and each week from the Weekly challenge. They’re a big part of the game for those of you who enjoy playing in a fireteam, and even for those of us who like to play solo with matchmaking. Strikes take up a big part of Destiny 2, and offer interesting new challenges that we may not find elsewhere.

Over the course of the Season of the Forge you’ll probably do more than 40 Strikes, so get this Pinnacle bounty anyway and just try your hand at it. The weapon looks bloody brilliant so it’s worth it if you accidentally complete it. Even more so if you do it on purpose. Let us know what you think in the comments.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
