How to get the Protective Light Mod

You can only purchase the Protective Light Mod from Banshee-44 in the Tower. This is technically a common mod, but it’s extremely rare all the same. It’ll cost you 10 Mod Components, which is a small price to pay for the benefits it allows you to reap. The reason that it’s so rare is that Banshee-44 rolls his inventory so much. It’s impossible to track when this Mod will be in stock, so you’re at his mercy entirely. The only thing you can do is check in every day and week to make sure that you don’t miss out on what Destiny 2 deems a pretty inconsequential Mod.

Please note that it is also possible to get this Mod from Ada-1. You’ll have to check in with her inventory just as much though.

What is the Protective Light Mod?

Why use the Protective Light Mod?

If you can’t see why you should use this Mod by now, there’s not much hope for convincing you. There is a plethora of gear that will grant you stacks of charged with Light. It’s a buff that gives you a bit of an increase to stats in general, but in this case it’s aslo fuel. You can use that fuel to protect you once you’re hit with a serious assault. It’s the difference between dying on the so, and living just long enough to get to some cover.
