Destiny: Xur’s Inventory for March 24th and 25th

xur

Who is Xur?

Xur Agent Of The Nine, works for the mysterious group, The Nine. While Guardians have never seen The Nine, it is said that their influence is vast. Xur, the moss-tentacle-faced vendor visits social spaces once a week, bringing with him a variety of exotic items, which Guardians can purchase with Strange Coins.

Xur’s Location

If you’re looking to get one last easy exotic from Xur before Age of Triumph starts then you’re in luck, he’s in the Tower! Head left from spawn, down the stairs, and act like you’re going to give the Speaker a massive hug. Of course you should stop immediately outside the Speaker’s chamber and turn around, not just because that guy has no face and hugging him might lead to him stealing yours, but because Xur is in the space opposite looking equally creepy.

Exotic Weapon: Thunderlord (Exotic Machine Gun) 17 Strange Coins

Thunderlord is one of the best Exotic heavy weapons for the sole reason that it’s named after something you’d see a God using. This Arc weapon might take up your heavy slot but it makes up for it with its two perks. The first, Lightning Rounds, which makes the weapon more accurate the longer you hold the trigger. The second perk, Feeding Frenzy, increase reload speed with every kill. Stacking these two perks together means that you’re killing with better accuracy, and reloading faster than anyone can see.

Keep an eye out for a more detailed analysis of the weapon this weekend.

Exotic Gauntlets: ACD/0 Feedback Fence (Titan class) 13 Strange Coins

These things look great, and they shift as you wear them to make your arms look even more like some sort of experimental meld of organics and machines. The perk, Wrath Conductors, deals damage around you when you take melee damage, meaning it could be the person that tries to get a cheeky stab in who dies from the feedback of their own attack.

Exotic Chest Armour: Heart of the Praxic Fire (Warlock Class) 13 Strange Coins

Some of the best robes available for Warlocks, at least I think so. The perk, Praise the Sun, greatly increases agility and further decreases all ability cooldowns while Radiance is active.

Exotic Helmet: Graviton Forfeit (Hunter Class) 13 Strange Coins

Possibly the greatest Voidwalker helmet in existence. On top of looking like your face is the gateway to some sort of extra dimension, you get a sweet perk. Elusive Shadow does more than allow you to Shadestep, it gives you that ability without taking up a node in your Voidwalker loadout. Do you want an additional ability? I think you do.

Legacy Engram: (Exotic Body Armour) 29 Strange Coins – The Legacy Engram will decode for a Year 1 or 2 piece of armour to complete your collection. Some of these items can be infused to Year 3 Light Level.

Three Of Coins (Consumable) 7 Strange Coins

Plasma Drive (Consumable) 23 Strange Coins

Emerald Coil (Consumable) 23 Strange Coins

Heavy Ammo Sythesis Consumable) 3 Strange Coins

Glass Needles (Consumable) 3 Strange Coins, 3 Motes Of Light, and 1 Exotic Shard

Our Take

Thunderlord is a really great weapon, and it’s worth getting if you haven’t got it for your collection ahead of Age of Triumph, if for no other reason. With that said, all of the armour on sale this week is incredible, so our advice is to either buy the one that fits with your main character, or buy one of the pieces you don’t have for another character. You’ll have to level every class up to max to get the Age of Triumph Record Book complete, so it’s worth having the equipment ready to do that.

I'm an avid Destiny 2 fan and player. I fell in love with Destiny 1 during the early alpha and have been hooked by the universe ever since. I really enjoy playing with other Guardians, speculating about the lore, and writing about as much of the Destiny universe as I can.
